The Story Continues...
OMBR would like to thank Dr. Jack Herring and his staff at Wedington Animal Hospital in Fayetteville. They waited for Phil and Sherry to arrive with all the dogs and pups (on a Sunday evening!), and then worked until well past 10:00 p.m., getting everyone evaluated, vaccinated, dipped for ticks and fleas, and settled in for the night. Truly they went above and beyond for the sake of these poor bassets.
Right now, all the adult dogs are resting in the kennels at Dr. Jack Herring's clinic, enjoying air conditioning and soft beds (neither of which they've ever had before!), and being fussed over by Dr. Herring's staff. Rosie, the momma dog, and her pups, are being fostered at an experienced foster home in Conway. The pups are strong and healthy so far, and Rosie is an excellent momma.
Please keep these hounds and pups in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for supporting OMBR!!

Lacey is unsure of her surroundings and keeps her back to us when we approach. Once we get her out of her run, she seems to appreciate loving pats and belly rubs, so we feel she will do fine once she's learned she really can trust humans.
