Dear Supporters of OMBR, Inc.,

Since the recession first began, OMBR has seen a steady decrease in both adoptions, donations and foster homes.  As a result, we have been able to take in fewer and fewer bassets, our bank account continually approaches $0 and we have one foster home left.

We have reached a point where we do not feel like we are properly able to fulfill our mission at this time.  Accordingly, OMBR, Inc. is closing its doors. We will continue to care for the dogs we currently have in foster care until they find permanent homes.  They will continue to need medical care in some cases, and we will have a few additional ongoing expenses, such as maintaining the website.  In addition, we will honor our commitment to any dogs previously adopted from us that may need to be returned to OMBR because of a crisis in their forever home.

Phil Guinn, our founder, hopes that he may be able to restart OMBR in a few years, once he is able to retire from his full-time job.  To that end, OMBR, Inc, intends to keep any remaining funds in escrow for the future.

Menzie Campbell, President,

Ozark Mountain Basset Rescue, Inc.
